Irish Bookmakers Association Welcomes Commencement of the Gambling Regulation Act 2024
The Irish Bookmakers Association and its members welcome the recent announcement that Minister Jim O’Callaghan has signed the commencement order for the Gambling Regulation Act 2024. This marks a significant milestone, following years of dedicated work by his predecessor, Minister James Browne, as well as Anne-Marie Caulfield, CEO of the Gambling Regulatory Authority, and her team.
We extend our best wishes to the newly appointed Chair, Mr. Paul Quinn, and the Authority members as they take on their new roles. The Irish Bookmakers Association looks forward to continuing to engage constructively in the development of modern, effective, and practical regulation for our sector.
